Throw everything you know out the window. Vintage sizing is tricky but worth it! Modern sizing is generous and bigger then the size stated. The general rule of thumb, for vintage, is to go two sizes up (so if you're a size 27 in contemporary women's sizing, then you're a 29 in vintage Levi's). If you are unsure - check your measurements as all the garments have been measured.

The art of mending to prolong the life of a garment or object is at the heart of what we do. In our Winchester studio we use a mix of Sashiko and Boro techniques. Sashiko stitch is an antidote to the fast fashion world. It is used to reinforce points of wear on a garment and to repair worn places or tears with patches - creating Boro.  The running stitch is also used for decorative purposes. Textiles stitched and repaired in this way can be said to embrace the concept of ‘Wabi Sabi'.
