Last Sunday, we were delighted to see The Well Worn featured in You Magazine's "The Weekender: Winchester" travel guide — a beautifully curated round-up of what to do, see and shop on a weekend visit to our historic city.
At 1pm on Saturday, journalist Sophie Hines recommends stopping by The Well Worn as part of a stylish afternoon of shopping, noting our “great line in ethical ruffly blouses” (thank you, Sophie!). We’re proud to sit alongside other brilliant independents like Sass & Edge and The Consortium in a feature that champions Winchester’s unique retail landscape.
As a brand born in Winchester — and stitched right here in our new micro-factory — being included in a national magazine like You means the world. We’re here to prove that slow, sustainable fashion belongs in your weekend wardrobe and your weekend plans.

More places we love in Winchester...
While we were thrilled to be featured, we couldn’t help but think of another local gem that deserves a shoutout: The Hambledon. A concept store with impeccable taste and an always-inspiring edit of fashion, homeware and lifestyle finds, The Hambledon is an unmissable stop if you’re visiting the city. Trust us — leave room in your bag.
Plan your visit
You’ll find us inside Open House Deli, just off Winchester High Street, open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am–4pm. Our latest collections are made to order or reworked from vintage — think ruffles, bows, bold florals, and fabrics with a past — and they're all stitched just upstairs in our very own Winchester micro factory. It’s the first clothing production of its kind in the area since Burberry, and we’re proud to be reviving that local making heritage.
If you're making a weekend of it, grab brunch at the deli, stroll through the cathedral grounds, and spend a little time exploring the best of Winchester’s creative and conscious retail scene. We'll be here with slow fashion and a warm welcome.
